PTEK — Pusat Tuisyen Era Kecerdasan, The Intelligence Era Learning Centre — is an AI-assisted tuition centre for Form 4 and Form 5 students preparing for SPM in English, Mathematics, and Science. It is also the founding pilot site for the Peconaqri Cell implementation of the Open PMC Protocol.
PTEK teaches students not just what to learn, but how to learn — using AI apps as a genuine study tool under mentor guidance, not as a shortcut. Every student works with a personalised AI subject tutor (PAT) for their core SPM subjects, supported by a mentor who knows them across sessions and terms.
Beyond academic tuition, PTEK students are also enrolled in the Peconaqri Cell programme: a structured framework for living and working intentionally in the AI age. This is not an optional add-on — it is a condition of enrolment. Completing at least one Quest project per academic term is a requirement for all PTEK students.
PTEK was founded by Jin Lee, the creator of the Peconaqri framework. The legal entity and physical infrastructure are in place in Sungai Pelek, Selangor. The centre will operate as a licensed tuition centre, with licensing application currently pending with the Department of Education.
PTEK combines two things that are rarely offered together. The first is focused, AI-assisted academic tuition for SPM — English, Mathematics, and Science — delivered in small groups with mentor guidance and personalised AI support. The second is the Peconaqri Cell programme: a framework for learning to live intentionally rather than algorithmically.
At PTEK, the Game of Life is the organising metaphor. Every session begins with an intentionality decision — am I choosing to engage, or drifting on autopilot? Students work on Quest projects alongside their academic tuition: real questions, real outputs, real reflection. The Cube of Life gives them a Whole-Life success framework that goes beyond SPM grades.
This dual structure is the pilot's core proposition: that academic preparation and life-readiness are not in tension. A student who has learned to ask a genuine question, pursue it to an answer, and reflect on what they learned is also a student who performs better in examinations — and carries something lasting beyond them.

Every enrolled student must complete at least one Quest project per academic term — a real, self-chosen project driven by a genuine question. This is a non-negotiable condition of enrolment at PTEK, not an optional enrichment activity. Quest type and scope are chosen by the student in consultation with their mentor.
Each student has a personalised AI subject tutor (PAT) for SPM subjects, a project AI coach (PQT) for Quest work, and a life navigation AI (PLN). All built on the student's own PLIF folder system — the AI compounds their thinking, does not replace it, and the student owns their data.
Academic results sit within one face of a six-faced Cube of Life — Self-Expression, Health, Relationships, Prosperity, Community Legacy, Nature Stewardship. The Peconaqri Trio (Calendar, Map, Shield) are the tools for navigating it across time.
Students work independently at their personal study cubicle — practising, revising, and using their AI tutor tools under mentor guidance. One-to-one micro-mentoring with the mentor runs throughout. Group discussion and guided assistance as needed.

PTEK is not simply a centre that has adopted the Peconaqri Cell model. It is the centre where the model is being built, tested, and refined in real conditions, with real teenagers, under the direct oversight of Jin Lee — the framework's creator.
Every implementation decision PTEK makes — how to run the Intentionality Phase in practice, how to configure the AI toolkit for a Malaysian context, how to train mentors, how to structure the Quest cycle for 13–17-year-olds in the Malaysian schooling environment — becomes part of the operational evidence base for the Open PMC Protocol. Future Tier 3 centres across the Peconaqri network will build on what PTEK learns.
This means that enrolment in PTEK's founding cohort is not a conventional tuition centre relationship. It is participation in the development of something that does not yet fully exist. The framework is sound. The infrastructure is ready. The academic delivery system is being built with care. Founding cohort families understand this context and choose it precisely because of it.
PTEK is a Tier 3 Peconaqri Cell — formally affiliated with Peconaq Inc. and operating under the Peconaqri brand mark. A Quest is a real, self-chosen project driven by a genuine question the student actually cares about. It follows the Peconaqri Quest cycle: Quest Seed (choosing the question), Bootcamp (building the knowledge base), Quest (the investigation), Presentation (communicating the findings), and Reflection. Quest type and scope are chosen by the student in consultation with their mentor — some Quests are individual, some may be team-based. The number and type may vary by term depending on what the student undertakes.
The Quest requirement is what distinguishes PTEK from a standard tuition centre. It develops the competencies that examinations cannot measure — and that compound across a lifetime.

A learning identity is a dedicated digital persona used for project work and AI tool interaction — separate from the student's personal online presence. This serves two purposes: it protects student privacy online, and it creates a clear psychological separation between casual digital use and structured academic learning. In the Peconaqri framework, this connects to the NPC/PC distinction — the learning identity is the student in active, intentional mode. All learning identities are set up and managed under mentor guidance.

PTEK maintains a focused, respectful, and purposeful learning environment. Students are expected to attend both sessions each week, bring their notebook computer, treat mentors and peers with respect, and engage sincerely — including in their Quest projects. The Intentionality Phase at the start of every session makes this explicit: PTEK asks students to choose to be present, not merely to show up. Detailed expectations and centre guidelines are shared and discussed at the interview and again at enrolment.
